Artisan Yarns brings together a selection of diverse, ethical, luxurious yarns and practical yarns.
Some of our yarns are hand dyed and sourced locally. The remainder are commercially available yarns from further afield. All of our yarns have been selected on their organic, ethical, luxurious or just plain commonsense real knitting merit at a sensible price.
The Small Gallery is Hereford’s inspirational resource for both contemporary textiles and yarns. As well as a very small textiles exhibition space the gallery stocks an astonishing range of contemporary and traditional knitting yarns, o-check stationery & AK designs huggable friends pattern books.
The Gallery is owned and run by Anne (Yarnartisanne), a textile artist who is a stitcher, dyer, knitter and wordsmith.
Please visit our Gallery in Hereford to see our current collection of yarns for artists and knitters. In 2009 the small gallery was voted one of Hereford’s most loved small shops: “an oasis of calm in a mad mad world”.
Alternatively, join Anne at Hereford’s Stitch ‘n’ Bitch group. This takes place on the First Tuesday of every month, at The Green Dragon Hotel in Broad Street, Hereford 6 – 9pm. We are knitters of all ages, all shapes and sizes and all abilities. You will be very welcome.
2 hanks of yarn that I purca
hased from you today (4 Sept 09) which was suggested by you to knit a shawl. I mentioned to you that I am unable to wear wool and when I got home the label on the hank says “one zero” Colinette 100% pure wool. Please advise.Thank you
